Cawton Wright's bike ride from Southport to Amsterdam
In May 2016 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer, went through surgery and chemotherapy, thankfully I was told that there had not been any spread of the disease. After such a life changing few months I wanted to take part in a challenge that was completely out of my comfort zone to help raise awareness and funds for men's cancer charities. I decided to take part in this event, as it really is a challenge to me, I haven't ridden a bike for 14 years and only bought one in October 2016 so it was going to be extremely hard work to get myself fit both mentally and physically. Having seen the fantastic work that all the cancer specialists do and the amount of people suffering from this disease I just feel the need to give back for all the wonderful treatment I have received.
